Kristen came to yoga seeking new ways to connect with her physical body, but soon discovered that the practice offered much more. As she delved deeper into her practice, drawing from her background in tai chi and work with the chakras, yoga became transformational in all areas of her life – an experience she is eager to share with others.
She recently completed her RYT 200 teacher training at Yoga V. Inspired by the training and her teachers, she aims to teach as a means of giving back and helping others connect with yoga as profoundly as she has. She is enthusiastic about expanding her experience and expertise in non-heated flow classes suitable for all levels and body types. She is also currently pursuing a Level 1 Sound Healing certificate in crystal singing bowls and training to become a Y12SR Peer Support Guide. She credits her teachers at Yoga V, along with Anodea Judith, Jessamyn Stanley, Rolf Gates, Sean Corne, and Nikki Myers, as integral guides on her journey.
When not on her mat, Kristen enjoys exploring nature, spending time with her husband, creating jewelry, finding new things to learn, connecting with friends, laughing at her cats' antics, and being grateful for living in such a beautiful place.
