Denise D.
Denise tried a yoga class with no preconceived expectations other than having it be “another form of exercise. “What a wonderful gift when she found benefits not only in the asana practice, but also in delving into pranayama and yogic philosophy!
Soon after starting to practice she became pregnant with her first child, and even though there was some frustration without being able to see her toes, she continued practice all the way to childbirth. A second pregnancy and although practice (mostly having the time) was different with a little one, she continued a physical practice until the night before having her second child. Both children will tell you today they remember their Mom always saying “Breathe…..”
Fast forward 13 years, and it was time to take teacher training. Denise completed her 200-hour training in Grand Junction at the Academy of Yoga with Monica Cullinane in 2014.
Teaching since 2014, Denise continues to be a forever student by taking workshops and trainings. In 2019, she obtained certification in Yoga for Healthy Aging, which has re-enforced her belief that yoga can be practiced until your very last breath.
