Matt’s journey to yoga began as a physical discipline and quickly transformed to a spiritual lifestyle practice connecting mind, body, and spirit. His transformation through yoga motivated him to share the gifts of yoga with others and pursue teaching. 

He received his RYT 200 from Yoga V in 2019 and is currently pursuing a 300-hour advanced teacher training with Shannon Paige. Matt’s classes are focused on quieting the mind and connecting with the breath. Matt encourages his students to have fun and be free on their mats, continuing to explore all the possibilities yoga has to offer. Matt enjoys teaching to ambient and calming music that provides students an opportunity to connect with their breath, linking asanas, and further deepening their meditation. 

Matt teaches a power Vinyasa flow style and seeks creative ways to weave in various styles of yoga into his sequences. Above all else, he strives to teach at a level that welcomes all yogis to their mats, regardless of experience. Matt is influenced by many teachers who have guided him along his yogic path including Sabrina Suazo, Kaylan Robinson, Tess McGinnis, and Shannon Paige. When Matt is not teaching or practicing, you can find him hanging out with his dog, family, and friends. Matt is deeply passionate about new learning, music, reading, spending time in nature, and volunteering his free time at the local animal shelter.
