Students can expect a slow start to their class, focusing on breathing and setting intentions quickly heating up and moving into quicker power style yoga by mid-way through the class, with creative current day music selections. Rhia cues her students through a variety of poses and offer modifications for all levels of students, providing a safe and compassionate environment to practice yoga. All the cues offered are simply an invitation with the belief that the student know what is best for their body if they are willing to listed and tap into their own body’s needs. Class will end with an inspirational quote to carry out into the world.

Rhia has been teaching with Yoga V for just over 6 years and have been practicing for over 15 years. She originally got into yoga for the physical benefits and quickly found the meditative and introspective benefits to outweigh the physical. Yoga V has provided me with a safe and encouraging community to further my practice and share my knowledge and experience with others. Rhia stumbled across yoga in college at the Mesa State College, in the form of intermural Hatha classes and practiced as well as taught for years through the college. After graduating she was turned on to Yoga V by a close friend and quickly fell in love with the Vinyassa style. After her pregnancy yoga was the only thing that really boosted her weight loss as well as provided a form of interpersonal therapy.

Rhia obtained her 200 hour yoga certification through Yoga Vinyassa in 2015. Her biggest influences have been Baron Baptise and her instructing teacher Tessa.  Yoga is her therapy and Rhia strives to offer a safe and compassionate environment for yogis of all levels to practice and deepen their assanas with the opportunity of finding inner peace.
