Melissa A.

Melissa’s first taste of yoga was a free 5am class held at the university gymnasium which she attended during her college years. This was the start of an on-again, off-again practice for her that continued for almost a decade. It was only when she finally surrendered to the full practice of yoga, focusing on the breath rather than trying to perfect the poses, that her practice became regular and deeply fulfilling.

She was thrilled to complete her 200-hour teacher training through yoga V in spring 2022. While teaching wasn’t initially part of the plan, the enthusiasm, experiences, and knowledge shared by all of her YTT teachers and peers inspired her to share this practice with others. She looks forward to expanding her yogic studies, deepening her personal practice, and sharing what she learns along her journey.

Melissa aims to teach a welcoming class accessible to any experience and comfort level, enabling students to calm the fluctuations of their minds, if only for a moment.
