Melanie G.

Melanie grew up in Tennessee and after several moves around the country, made Fruita her home in 2012. The outdoor lifestyle and desert landscape are what ultimately led her to the Grand Valley, and she has since fallen in love with the community as well.

Melanie has three children and finds yoga to be a crucial tool for finding equanimity and focus amidst the busyness and multitasking that parenting demands. She feels that a challenging physical yoga practice, with its attention to breath and focus on the present, is a powerful combination for strengthening physical, mental, and emotional health.

Melanie aims to help others reach a healing state of peace and self-acceptance during their yoga practice, and to leave equipped and empowered for life’s challenges. She completed her 200-hour Baptiste Power Yoga teacher training in 2020 and has been teaching since then.

In addition to yoga practice, she loves rock climbing, mountain biking, reading, hiking, traveling, eating tacos, and spending time with her children.
